This has to be one of the best sequences in any movie for me. It shows a peaceful life, a simple life, devoid of politics, war, hate, fear, and racism. It hits close to home for me, growing up in Newfoundland, Canada. we live uncomplicated lives, living (mostly) off the land, tilling the earth, and forming tight-knit and close communities. Every birthday is a celebration, everyone knows everyone else, and as far as we're concerned, the problems of the world are miles and miles away. I want to retire to the closest thing to the Shire as I can.
